Reagan C. Gural, IOM, CCEC
(August 13, 2021, Burlington, NC) – The Alamance Chamber is pleased to announce the selection of the new Chamber President & CEO. After undergoing a search process that was advertised locally and nationally, Reagan C. Gural has been selected to replace Mac Williams. Mac announced his retirement in March 2021. Gural will assume the role on November 1, 2021.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this organization into the future,” said Gural. “I am grateful to be surrounded by a supportive board, an industry leading team, and community partners with a vision for collaboration. With the support of our investors the Alamance Chamber will continue to be a convener of people, a champion for business growth and development, and a catalyst for change in Alamance County.”
Mac Williams’ impending retirement comes after 17 years with the Alamance Chamber, and 45 years in the Chamber industry. “I have enjoyed a wonderful experience in my time as the Alamance Chamber President but know it is a good time to step away and open the door for new leadership” he said. He continued, “I don’t know that I have ever met anyone so perfectly matched for chamber leadership than Reagan. She deserves the opportunity and will lead the organization with energy and distinction.”
The selection of Gural ends a search process facilitated by a committee comprised of business representation from across Alamance County and led by LeAndra “Nikki” Ratliff of Burlington Housing Authority and Chair for the Alamance Chamber Board of Directors and Economic Development Foundation Board.
“Reagan is a chamber industry leader who understands the complexities and opportunities in our community”, said Ratliff, Board Chair. “Having her as the next leader for the Alamance Chamber will ensure our organization remains relevant and continues to fulfill its mission of enhancing the welfare of business and stimulating the economic vitality in the Alamance County area for the benefit of its investors and the community”.
Reagan, who joined the Alamance Chamber staff in December 2011 has served as the Vice President of the organization. She brings ten years of Chamber industry and non-profit management experience to the role. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Alamance Community College. Gural was recognized earlier this year as the Alamance Community College Distinguished Alumna of the Year. She was also recognized by the Triad Business Journal as one of the 40 Leaders Under 40 in the triad. Gural received the IOM designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2015 and earned the Certified Chamber of Commerce Executive of the Carolinas designation in 2019. She currently serves on the United Way of Alamance County Board of Directors.
